About Kiva.org - being a risk investor

I tend to be rather skeptical and sometimes even cynical. This far I’ve been able to categorize all the charity organization into two:
  • the old and respectable (UNICEF, Red Cross, etc.)
  • hoaxes

However, I lately came across Kiva.org and I had to re-evaluate my attitude. I did not know anything about Kiva before, but taking a good look at their web site I certainly got convinced. Its not a hoax, that’s for sure! It has the best references I could imagine.

To put it short: the offer an opportunity to the rich people to borrow for the poor in the developing world. Who wouldn’t want to be vendor in high-risk capital markets. Yep, its exactly the same superb idea (yet completely independent implementation) that actually got the Nobel prize a few years back. I’m not going to refer the idea for you here, just take a look at the web site.

And to support the idea you can add a banner like I have there on the right to your web site.
